Klaro Services ("Klaro", "we", "our", "us") operates the Klaro platform at klaro.services, including the US Tax Tracker, CPA Suite, and Lawyer Suite. Our primary contact for privacy matters is privacy@klaro.services or by phone at +1 928 719 7389.
2. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly: name, email address, tax filing information (income, deductions, withholding), foreign account balances (for FBAR/FATCA tracking), legal matter details, and uploaded documents. We also collect technical information automatically: IP address, browser type, device information, usage logs, and cookies for session management. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to: (a) provide and improve our tax tracking, contract review, and compliance services; (b) calculate tax estimates and generate year-end summaries; (c) send monthly reminders and compliance alerts via email and WhatsApp (with your consent); (d) process payments via Razorpay; (e) provide AI-powered document analysis using Groq; (f) store your documents securely on Cloudflare R2. We do not use your tax or legal information for advertising.
4. California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) rights
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the CCPA: • Right to Know: You may request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you. • Right to Delete: You may request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions. • Right to Opt-Out: You may opt out of the sale of your personal information. We do not sell personal information. • Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights. 5. Data storage and security
Your documents are stored on Cloudflare R2 (US region). Your account data is stored on Supabase (AWS US-East). We use row-level security to ensure only you can access your data. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). We do not share your tax or legal documents with third parties except as required by law.
6. Third-party services
We use the following third-party services: • Razorpay — payment processing (PCI-DSS compliant) • Groq — AI document extraction (data processed but not retained per Groq's enterprise terms) • Cloudflare R2 — document storage • Supabase — database (PostgreSQL) • Resend — transactional email • Twilio/Meta — WhatsApp notifications (with your consent) Each provider has their own privacy policy. We have data processing agreements with applicable providers.
7. Data retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active plus 7 years (required for tax record keeping). Uploaded documents are retained for the duration of your subscription plus 1 year. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting privacy@klaro.services.
8. FBAR and tax information
Tax information you enter (income, deductions, foreign account balances) is used solely to provide your tax estimates and generate your year-end summary. We do not file taxes on your behalf or transmit your information to the IRS or FinCEN. Klaro Tax is a calculation and tracking tool — you are responsible for filing your own returns. Our estimates are not professional tax advice.
9. Children's privacy
Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, contact us immediately at privacy@klaro.services.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by displaying a notice in the application. Your continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
